Your Sugarloaf Key Bus Stop: Mile Marker 20

The Lower Keys Shuttle travels along U.S. 1 through the Florida Keys, connecting communities from Key West through the Lower Keys and toward Marathon. The official Key West Transit schedule provides several major reference points along the route, but it does not list every individual bus stop.

For guests staying at Sugarloaf Key RV Resort & Cottages, we’ve made things easier by adding our location to our guest bus schedule at MM 20.

Think of Mile Marker 20 as your starting point for planning your bus trip.

The official Lower Keys Shuttle stop list identifies a stop at approximately MM 19.992 near Mangrove Mama’s, making MM 20 a helpful reference point for guests staying at the resort.

Take the Bus to Key West

Staying at Sugarloaf Key doesn’t mean you have to drive into Key West every time you want to enjoy the island.

The Lower Keys Shuttle provides service between the Lower Keys and Key West, making it possible to leave your vehicle at the resort and enjoy a day exploring some of the Florida Keys’ most popular attractions.

Once you arrive in Key West, you can explore historic streets, waterfront attractions, restaurants, shops and entertainment before catching the shuttle back toward Sugarloaf Key.

It’s a particularly convenient option when you want to enjoy an evening in Key West without worrying about driving afterward.

How to Use Our Sugarloaf Key Bus Schedule

We’ve taken the official Lower Keys Shuttle information and added our Sugarloaf Key RV Resort & Cottages MM 20 location to make planning your trip easier.

When looking at the schedule:

1. Find MM 20.
This is the mile-marker reference we’ve added for our resort location.

2. Determine your direction.
The Lower Keys Shuttle operates in both directions, so make sure you’re looking at the correct direction for your destination.

3. Plan for a little flexibility.
Bus times are scheduled arrival times, but traffic and road conditions can affect actual arrival times. Key West Transit specifically notes that buses may experience delays due to heavy seasonal traffic.

4. Arrive early.
Key West Transit recommends arriving at your stop at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival time.

Because the official schedule uses mile markers and reference points rather than listing every stop, our MM 20 guide is intended to give resort guests a practical way to estimate when the shuttle will be near the resort.
